A missing great interpretation of the Jupiter is Colin Davi’s one with Staatskapelle Dresden on Philips: an absolute masterfull version in my opinion. A mention also for Riccardo Muti and the Wiener Philharmoniker, also on Philips, far better than Levine’s version with the same orchestra, always in my questionable opinion.
I enjoy hearing your opinions! I have some biases with the Jupiter, particularly having to do with the repeats and the brass. Muti and the VPO I remember liking at one point, and he and the VPO seem to have good chemistry together. I don't recall the Dresden/Davis recording, but I will go back and find it. Davis was a terrific Mozartian, especially in the operas.
