Even though the calendar has turned to 2026, we are once again still covering some of the best recordings which were released toward the end of 2025. Among the finest is this new studio recording of Gaetano Donizetti’s opera Lucia di Lammermoor on the EuroArts label. While the “golden age” of grand opera has long since passed, it is so encouraging to find that really impressive recordings are still possible.
